MASTERS AND DOCTORATE IN PHYSICS - ITA

Registration is open until 05/03/2024 for the selection process for admission and selection of scholarship holders in the Master's and Doctorate courses of the Physics Program (PG-FIS), at the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA).

The target audience is made up of students graduating from the areas of Physics, Exact Sciences, Engineering, and related areas.

    The PG-FIS research areas are:

    • - Atomic, Molecular and Condensed Matter
      - Nonlinear dynamics, chaos and complex systems
      - Nuclear, astrophysics, few-body physics, particle physics
      - Plasma Physics and Technology

PG-Fis will have at least 3 doctoral scholarships and 2 master's scholarships available for the next semester. The selection process and classification for scholarships is based on a logic test and an interview about the master's/doctoral project submitted, as established in the PG-Fis regulations (https://www.pgfis.ita.br/en/post /legislacao). Therefore, the interested party must take the tests, even if they are not competing for the scholarship. We also recommend that students interested in a scholarship do not fail to inform this at the time of registration, even if they are able to study part-time without a scholarship. We highlight that to be admitted to the PG-FIS, the candidate must have a score equal to or greater than 50% in the simple average between the scores in the logic test and the interview, a criterion that applies to both scholarship holders and non-scholarship entrants. Students who are already in PG-FIS and want to apply for the scholarship need to take the logic test and the interview again.

It is strongly recommended that students try to talk to potential advisors, whose contact details can be found on the PG-Fis website (http://www.pgfis.ita.br/en/)
