Laboratories

Each area of ​​the PG/FIS has at least one research group registered with the CNPq, very well structured, with several professors and graduate and post-doctoral students.

This laboratory was created in 2017 by joining the computing facilities of the Departments of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry of Fundamental Sciences Division (IEF). Currently the operation of this laboratory is decentralized, with facilities in the departments of Physics and Chemistry and serves 18 IEF-ITA professors.

The Space Science Laboratory presents, in its general proposition, initiatives aimed at experimental research in the area of Space Physics, with emphasis on Aerospace Engineering applications, meeting the institutional expectations of ITA's Post-Graduation Program.

The Plasma and Processes Laboratory (LAB-PP) of the Technological Institute of Aeronautics aggregates several research groups, research lines and laboratories in the areas of Plasma Physics and Technology and Materials Science. The LAB-PP infrastructure is installed in an area of approximately 2000 m² and houses four laboratories that together form a complex of excellence in Plasma Technology and Materials Science.
