    IMPORTANT

    Candidates for ITA Postgraduate Courses as Regular or Special Student In compliance with the General Directorate of the DCTA, observe:

    • Military: officers of rank no less than the 1st Lieutenant who have obtained authorization from their respective Commander / Chief / Director of OM, who must be communicated directly to ITA.

      Note: Military personnel not belonging to the DCTA must obtain a favorable opinion from the chain of command, as is already practiced in other courses of this Department.

    • Civil Servant of the Air Force Command: need for a favorable opinion from the top manager of the Organization to which he is subordinate.
    • Aspiring students of ITA: may enroll in the PMG - Master's Degree Program.

    ITA accepts applications for the Selection Process in two periods:

    • Process 1: to start the course in the 1st period of the following year;
    • Process 2: to start the course in the 2nd period of the current year.

    ​The lists of registered and approved candidates are posted on the Graduate website. The dates of registration and the selection process are defined in the Graduate Calendar.

    Programs and Areas

    ITA offers Master's and Doctoral degrees in 6 Postgraduate Programs, divided into 20 areas of concentration: Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering (PG / EAM): EAM-1 - Aeronautical design, aerospace structures and systems; EAM-2 - Aerospace and energy propulsion and EAM-3 - Materials, manufacturing and automation. Electronic and Computer Engineering (PG / EEC): EEC-D - Electronic Devices and Systems; EEC-I - Informatics; EEC-M - Microwave and Optoelectronics; EEC-S - Systems and Control and EEC-T - Telecommunications. Aeronautical Infrastructure Engineering (PG/EIA): EIA-I - Airport Infrastructure; EIA-T- Air Transport and Airports. Physics (PG / FIS): FIS-A - Atomic and Molecular Physics; FIS-C - Nonlinear Dynamics and Complex Systems; FIS-N - Nuclear Physics and FIS-P - Plasma Physics. Space Sciences and Technologies (PG / CTE): CTE-E - Space Systems, Tests and Launches; CTE-F - Applied Physics and Mathematics; CTE-G - Technological Management; CTE-P - Space and Hypersonic Propulsion; CTE-Q - Chemistry of materials and CTE-S - Sensors and Space Actuators. Operational Research (PG / PO), in association with UNIFESP: Optimization Methods and; Management and Decision Support.

    Admission of Regular Students

    Candidates with complete higher education, of both sexes, civilian or military, Brazilian or foreigners, can enroll in the Master's and Doctorate Selection Process. In addition to the candidate's curriculum analysis, each Graduate Program may present further steps in the Selection Process, such as a test or interview with candidates. PG / EIA, PG / EAM and PG / PO adopt a GMAT eliminatory selection test, below link for more information: PG / EAM, PG / EIA, PG / PO.

    It is mandatory that PG / FIS candidates take the Paulista Unified Examination for Postgraduate Courses in Physics, master's and doctorate. The results of this exam can be presented after the registration deadline and at most one week after its publication. For PhD candidates, a certificate of proficiency in English (TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS or FCE, according to the registration instructions) will be required upon registration.

    Procedure for Special Student to register as Regular Student

    PERIOD: Student can request migration at any time. - The supervisor of the special student recommends to the Area Representative whether to accept the student as a regular, via email, which should be forwarded to the secretariat (cmarques@ita.br and sheila@ita.br). - The face-to-face registration must be carried out by the student, in the period following the migration request, according to the enrollment date defined in the school calendar, or at the discretion of the CPG.
